At 37 years young I reached my peak weight of 293 lbs. I had mild sleep apnea, high cholesterol, and increased doctor visits for anxiety, stress, allergies, and joint pain. I like to call it the road to self destruction. My life evolved around comfort food. My goal was simple—find a personal trainer that was experienced, trained, motivating, committed, and could aide in nutrition. The end result would be an amazing lifestyle change. My goal to be fit would reverse all the health symptoms I have grown getting use to. I would enjoy the greatest reward of all by watching the positive impact this would have on my family.

I was invited by a friend to go visit Jim White at Jim White Fitness on Laskin Road. Jim White is a licensed nutritionist, certified personal trainer, and brings the knowledge for a safe and healthy lifestyle change. I had tried many diets and failed. I had tried personal training at other gyms and failed. Prior to visiting Jim White I had researched over 15 local gyms in the area and realized they we all missing something. My partnership with Jim White started with an overhaul of our kitchen pantry. Then it was off to the grocery store to learn how to shop and eat healthy for the whole family. The blueprint was laid out for three days of strength training and 6 days of cardio for 45 minutes or more. I was given guidance on food choices at every session. By learning what foods stimulates your metabolism and keeps it at peak levels is the key to a lifestyle change. During my training I never once saw myself on a diet. I was eating more often in healthier portions and choices. I was very motivated not to fail and committed myself to succeed. It required me to put my health first and make time in the day to get fit. I reached 214 lbs in less than 9 months. All my previous health issues are gone. I am proud to say I am FIT!

First of all I’d like to say “Thank you Jim!” I honestly feel like I couldn’t have accomplished losing 40 pounds with out Jim’s program and constant encouragement.

For years I spent too much time thinking about losing weight. I don’t even remember gaining so much, but slowly it just happened. After attending culinary school and having two children I was up to 188 pounds at age 31. All I wanted for my birthday was to lose the weight. So as a gift I began with Jim. Before joining Jim White Fitness Studios, I wondered if I would ever lose weight. I was never an active person; I was always the fat kid. I never wanted to go out and do things, I was always at home, playing games or watching TV, not really living life. I was starting to believe that I was going to be fat for the rest of my life.

Words can’t do justice for what Jim has done to help me out. Not only has he transformed my body, but also my life. In October of 2003, I weighed 168 pounds, which was an all time high for me. This was such a "life change" for me and I couldn’t have done it without the help and expertise of Jim White. My life had been full of the latest diet crazes— everything from Weight Watchers to “The Zone.” I had spent so much money trying to figure out the best way to eat, but nothing seemed to work.

Enter Jim White. After viewing his website, I knew this was going to be just what I needed. However there was one problem, Jim didn't live where I did. I live in Tucson, Arizona and he was across the country.
